The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Apostles

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Apostles is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

"Apostle” is a word that means, “one who is sent with authority.” The apostles were those who were sent with the authority of Jesus Christ to preach His Gospel in all the world. This Gospel of God’s free forgiveness accomplished by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is very same Gospel that is proclaimed from this place in Melrose Park,  just west of Chicago.

Through Christ’s cross, joy has come to a despairing world. Please accept our invitation to share in Christ’s precious gifts and so to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
